Infinity wars was just epic. The build up from that film is what created so much hype towards endgame. However did endgame really deliver? I dint feel so.
Gimmicky Time travel was also messed up, they tried so hard to make the audience buy it, when antman cracked a joke about it not being time travel. when tony stark said he wouldn't do it the first time. this to make the audience root for the plot. The time stone was gone when Thanos destroyed it, even borrowing stones from an alternate dimension would have been a great plot. And with all the intelligence in the marvel universe, humans crack time travel... really...
It was also like the guys were forced into being depressed. We had the heroes of the known universe until that point reporting to black widow? for what joy? and hawkeye, his only action sequences was running, and more running almost every time, but he has to run, your dealing with superheroes and super villains. the point I'm making here is that apart from not so great casting of certain characters, interaction and measurement of power has to be well translated. Anther example is Captain marvel making a guest appearance at the end, being able to over power Thanos while he wields the gauntlet... Or tony stark taking a punch from Thanos without his headgear. His brains should have splattered. RDJ has a great personality, but the whole saga doesn't have to be about him, your dealing with the Marvel universe.
Then you had them going back into separate timelines cooking up their own mini story sequences there, setting the energy of the movie offtrack.
I dont know if I am watching the same movie as these guys with 10 stars, or is it just blind loyalty.
For me avengers ended with infinity wars, so well done, character build up of Thanos was magnificent, to see him then reduced to a puppet with only sweet philosophy but not such a great death. Would be interested to hear about alternate plots and endings for endgame.
